KME Forever

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away. - Hilary Cooper

The Kristen M Ettensohn Memorial Scholarship

This award is given to a student or students who best embody Kristen’s attributes of scholarship, leadership, perseverance, and her love of art and running. Kristen was able to find time in her incredibly busy life for service to Community. Even when ill with radiation and chemotherapy, Kristen signed on to a medical mission in the Dominican Republic. She was taken too young with an aggressive cancer, but it is our hope that others can “carry the torch” for her and help complete through giving in your life, what she did not have time to complete in her short life. We ask that students who accept this award do so with the challenge to find time in their lives to help others , and "play it forward" when they can.
